Advance Directives

The purpose of this program is to increase awareness and use of Advance Directives in all age groups in the Gorge. The public information and outreach campaign on Advance Directives is to start of a cultural norm of having the conversation about what we wish our care to be if we are not able to speak for ourselves. The program, goals are to:

  • Reach at last 25% of the adults in Hood River and Wasco Counties and be representative of the diversity in the community.

  • Be inclusive of residents in both The Dalles, Hood River and the less populated areas of Antelope, Dufur, Maupin, Mosier, Shaniko, Tygh Valley, Wamic, Pine Grove, Pine Hollow, Cascade Locks, Odell, Parkdale, Mt Hood, Rockford and Oak Grove.

  • Be relevant for all adult age groups and ethnicities.

  • Motivate those who are 50 years or older to get an Advanced Directive in place.
